A list of the best 24-hour or super-late open restaurants and cafes.

Hoot, hoot. This is a call to all you late night owls out there. Do you ever wonder why it’s so hard to find 24 hour eateries around LA? And when you find one, you think, “jackpot!” But it’s understandable since Los Angeles is so spread apart with more cars on the streets than people.

To keep you from loitering and to save time, we compiled a list of the 12 best places to eat during the wee hours of the morning. Some are open 24 hours and others are open until 4AM—we think that’s still pretty good. Currently, late night dining options seem to trend more toward the Hollywood and Koreatown neighborhoods.

Koreatown

Mom’s House (look for Korean letters)
    3126 W 8th St
    Los Angeles, CA 90012
    (213) 480-8625

Mom’s House is a Korean hole-in-the-wall restaurant with soothing, hot comfort food.

    Café Jack – closes 4 a.m. Fr–Sa, 3 a.m. Sun–Th
    508 S Western Ave (on 5th St)
    Los Angeles, CA 90020
    (213) 365-8882

Ship-shaped architecture and Titanic-themed interior, Café Jack may be a bit overpriced, but it’s a good late, late night option if you’re not too hungry—pasta, sandwiches, Korean/Japanese food, coffee, tea and desserts.

Downtown LA, near Little Tokyo

    Farmer Boys, LA
    726 S Alameda St
    Los Angeles, CA 90021
    (213) 228-8999

The neighborhood might be a bit shabby, but the food is a different story. Try their long and tasty fried zucchini which sets them apart from other breakfast and burger joints. They also have drive thru.

Sushi and sashimi at 2 a.m. is possible, actually. Try out Sushi Kingz for a fun and funky ambiance.
